Each year we offer graduate and undergraduate opportunities to students from a variety of tertiary disciplines for a broad range of roles across many of our business groups and support areas. The Macquarie Graduate Program

We believe our most valuable assets are our people. Our graduates work with some of the best people in the industry, participate in a structured induction and networking program, enjoy on the job training and are provided with a comprehensive range of external and internal courses. We pride ourselves on providing the right kinds of tools and training to ensure all our graduates can fulfil their potential.

Applications for the 2011 Macquarie Group graduate program open the week commencing Monday 8th February 2010. Please read about our different businesses and their activities as you will be asked for three businesses you wish to work for in order of preference as part of the application process.

The Macquarie Summer Vacation Program

Macquarie’s Summer Vacation program provides an opportunity for students to work full-time over the summer break between years of university study. Students join various teams within Macquarie’s business groups, typically between December and February. Throughout this time you will benefit from a hands-on experience, increased exposure to the financial services sector and an invaluable insight into the career opportunities offered at Macquarie.

The Summer Vacation program provides an ideal opportunity to demonstrate your potential and gives you a significant advantage when applying for graduate opportunities. The ideal outcome of the program is a graduate offer.

Applications for the 2010/2011 Macquarie Summer Vacation Program will open in April 2010.

IT industrial training placements

Macquarie's Information Technology Group (ITG) offers industrial training placements, summer internships and ongoing part-time work opportunities for tertiary students in all years of study.

As an intern in ITG you will join an account team or an infrastructure team where your problem solving, client service and time management skills will be called upon daily, as will your ability to adapt to an ever-changing and fast moving environment.  Internships are three months to twelve months full-time or part-time; opportunities are available all year round.
