I worked in residential development throughout university, and decided to pursue a career in property. Macquarie was the logical choice: it had interests in all areas of the industry, and extended around the globe.

In the year I've been at Macquarie I've faced many challenging but rewarding tasks on a day-to-day basis. For example, Macquarie recently set up a new property management entity called 'Macquarie Real Estate Management Services' to take over centre-level asset management of its Australia-New Zealand portfolio, and I was involved in the initial structure and set-up of that business.

Macquarie is a good working environment, full of people who work hard and know their stuff, and it provides me with exposure to capital markets and opportunities to grow my career both within Australia and offshore. I hope to be working overseas in the next couple of years, with a focus on new market transactions.
