Macquarie Capital Advisers provides advisory and capital raising services to corporate and government clients involved in public mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private treaty acquisitions and divestments, debt and equity fund raising and corporate restructuring. Macquarie Capital Advisers advised on 164 transactions totalling approximately $A83 billion for the half year to 30 September 2008.

Macquarie Capital Funds acquires and manages infrastructure and other specialised assets on behalf of external investors through 35 listed and unlisted vehicles around the world. Funds staff work closely with the management teams of each asset and business to optimise business planning and strategy, capital structure, performance and risk management.

The Funds portfolio comprises more than 118 businesses in 26 countries and includes toll roads, airports, ports, water utilities, communications, infrastructure, social infrastructure, electricity and gas distribution networks.
