Liz Ellis and Catherine Cox to Coach Kids in Macquarie Fields |
|
|
04 August 2006 Two hundred children from Macquarie Fields and surrounding areas will attend a free netball coaching clinic with Australian and Sydney Swifts representatives led by Australian co-Captain Liz Ellis next Thursday. It will be the first netball clinic run by Macquarie Bank Sports in the Campbelltown area and builds on the cricket and rugby union programs it has held in the region over the past 12 months. The children will learn the fundamental skills of netball, participate in games and develop their game knowledge, while also enjoying a BBQ lunch with their netball role models. “The schools netball program provides young netballers with the invaluable opportunity to learn their craft from elite players,” Liz Ellis said. “It’s a unique experience, which many young children would not otherwise have if it were not for the support of Macquarie Bank Sports.” The Netball Super Clinic is an extension of the Macquarie Bank Sports netball program that has been running for four years in conjunction with Liz Ellis and Catherine Cox. Macquarie Bank Sports has been running for eight years, with national sporting identities giving free tuition in netball, rugby union, rugby league, cricket and basketball to more than 8000 children each year. NB. All participants for this camp are pre-registered and all places have been allocated. For more information please contact:
