|
|
31 October 2007 Macquarie Debt Markets announced today that the Series 2007-2 REDS Trust, a securitisation issue of prime residential mortgages, has been priced. As a result of strong investor interest, the transaction size was increased by $50 million to $350 million. The Series 2007-2 REDS Trust issue comprises the following securities:
Bank of Queensland is the originator of the assets and will also be the servicer of the portfolio. The trustee of the Series 2007-2 REDS Trust, Perpetual Trustee Company Limited is the issuer of the mortgage backed securities. Kevin Lee, Division Director Debt Finance, at Macquarie said: "We are very pleased with how well the Series 2007-2 REDS Trust transaction has been received following recent challenging market conditions. The broad number and strength of interest among investors in this transaction is indicative of the strong demand for Australian residential mortgage backed securities originated by quality issuers with strong servicing performance." The transaction drew a total of 17 offshore and domestic investors. The issue is due to settle on 2 November 2007. Macquarie is the Arranger and Joint Lead Manager for the transaction. ABN Amro and Deutsche Bank are Joint Lead Managers.
