REDUCE THE RISK OF FRAUD WITH THESE HANDY TIPS
By adopting these simple measures, we can work together to reduce the risk of fraud on your Macquarie Bank Credit Card:
- Protect your personal information
Never divulge personal information on request unless you are certain that it is a legitimate source. Also consider where your personal mail is delivered - locked mailboxes provide additional protection against fraudsters. - Protect your credit card details
Never write down your PIN or store credit card details on your mobile phone. - Sign your card
As soon as your new card arrives, sign it and destroy any old, unwanted credit cards by cutting them up. - Be card aware
Know where you card is, whether it be in your wallet, in a pocket or in a card holder in your bag. Make sure it's always close, and be aware of who may be nearby when using an ATM. - Organise your paperwork
Reconcile your receipts regularly and securely store or destroy your financial records. - Shop securely on the internet
Shop only at secure websites, indicated by the padlock at the bottom right of your screen and never provide your three-digit verification code, found on the back of your card, over unsecured websites. - Be computer aware
Install and regularly update anti-virus and firewall software on your personal computer and avoid public computers when accessing your personal information. - And finally… keep in touch
If you have lost your Card, had it stolen or find transactions on your account that are not yours, report it immediately to the Macquarie Card Services team on 1300 150 300, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Also ensure that you keep us up-to-date with your personal details so we can contact you immediately should we identify any suspicious transactions on your account.
