Analogue television

BA provides analogue TV broadcasting services to a variety of clients including the ABC, for which it is currently the sole provider. BA also manages the vast majority of analogue TV transmission services for SBS, as well as providing site access and portal services to commercial broadcasters including WIN, Prime and Southern Cross Broadcasting.

Australia's media policy is that the analogue television services will ultimately cease and be replaced by digital television. The Government has announced that digital TV switch-over (DSO) is expected to occur progressively on a regional basis and be completed by December 2013. The timetable for DSO is likely to be announced by the Government prior to the end of 2008.
