MCG is a triple-stapled structure which consists of three entities, Macquarie Communications Infrastructure Limited (MCIL), Macquarie Communications Infrastructure Trust (MCIT), and Macquarie MCG International Limited (MMCGIL).
MCG is managed by Macquarie Communications Infrastructure Management Limited (MCIML), a wholly owned subsidiary of Macquarie Group Limited.

Gerry is an executive director of Macquarie Group. He joined MCG from Telstra Limited, where he held a number of senior executive positions, the most recent being group managing director, Telstra Infrastructure Services. His portfolio covered the planning, design, construction and operations of Telstra’s fixed, mobile, data and internet networks; research and development; information technology services and field service.
Prior to joining Telstra, Gerry was managing director, Broadcast Communications Limited and corporate director, Television New Zealand Group. He has been a director of a number of companies within the Telstra group including Reach Limited (chairman), TelstraClear Limited, NDC Ltd (chairman), Foxtel Pty Ltd, IBMGlobal Services (Australia), Advantra Pty Ltd, Atlas Travel Technologies Limited, Pacific Access Pty Ltd (chairman) and Visionstream Pty Ltd (chairman). Gerry is also currently chairman of the Bionic Ear Institute and a director of Macquarie UK Broadcast Holdings Ltd and Global Tower Partners LLC.
Gerry holds a first class honours degree in Electrical Engineering from Canterbury University (New Zealand), 1972. He is a Fellow of The Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, a Fellow of Engineers Australia and a Fellow to the Australian Institute of Company Directors. In 2003, he was awarded the Centenary Medal for services to the Australian Society in Industry. In June 2001 he was appointed as a Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia for services to the information technology and telecommunications sectors and as an advocate for the employment of leading edge technological capability to advance Australia’s competitiveness in business and commerce. In 1998 he was recognised as Professional Engineer of the year by the Victorian branch of the Institution of Engineers Australia. He is a past Governor of the Warren Centre for Advanced Engineering (University of Sydney) and a past member of the Melbourne Symphony Council.

Malcolm Long

Malcolm has extensive senior experience in media and communications. He has been managing director of Australia’s national multicultural and multilingual broadcaster SBS and prior to that deputy managing director of the ABC, with specific responsibility for the ABC’s strategic development, major technology projects, and international activities. He has also been director of ABC Radio, managing Australia’s most geographically extensive media service. Recently he has been executive director of the Australian Film Television and Radio School. He is currently Chairman of the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), a director of PAN TV Limited, producers of the World Movies pay television channel, and is a part-time member of the Australian Communications and Media Authority.
He has also been a specialist consultant on communications and media, advising clients including Telstra Limited, the Commonwealth Department of Communications, the State Governments of New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia, APN News & Media, Network Ten and the Australian Association of National Advertisers.
Malcolm is a past chairman of the London-based International Institute of Communications and is a member of the Advisory Board of the communications research group the Network Insight Institute.

Rod Keller

Rod Keller brings over 42 years of commercial knowledge and experience to the board. Rod was Managing Director of GPU International (Australia) Pty Ltd (GPU) from 1995 to 1999 during which time GPU disposed of Solaris Power Pty Ltd and acquired GPU GasNet and GPU PowerNet. Following those acquisitions, he became Chief Executive Offi cer of GPU PowerNet and GPU GasNet in 1999. He was appointed Chairman of the GasNet Australia Group on its listing in 2000 until its acquisition by Australian Pipeline Trust. Prior to joining GPU, Rod held a number of management positions with Fletcher Construction Pty Ltd, the South Australian Government and Santos Ltd. Rod has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from Sydney University. He is currently chairman of Norfolk Group Holdings Pty Ltd and a former director of Dyno Nobel Ltd.

Mel Ward, AO

Mel is an independent director on the board of Transfield Services Limited and West Australian Newspapers Ltd. He is also chairman of Pro Medicus. Previously, Mel was managing director of Telecom Australia (now Telstra) and chairman of Telecom Australia (International) Limited from 1986 to 1992. Other Telstra positions included chief general manager, chief development engineer and general manager, commercial services at Telecom. He has a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Master of Engineering Science. Mel is a past chairman of the Major Performing Arts Board of the Australia Council for the Arts, and had previously also been chairman of The Australian Ballet and a director of NIDA and Coca-Cola Amatil Ltd.

Michael is the head of Macquarie Capital. Macquarie Capital is Australia’s largest investment advisory services business which has developed a global leadership position in a number of businesses, including infrastructure advisory and asset management. Michael is also a director of Macquarie Infrastructure Investment Limited, Macquarie Capital Alliance Management Limited, Macquarie Airports Management Limited, Macquarie Media Management Limited and a director of the Export Finance Insurance Corporation.

John Roberts LLB

John is both joint head of the Macquarie Capital Advisers division and directly responsible for the Macquarie Capital Funds group.
John is the alternate director for Michael Carapiet and Gerry Moriarty. He is also either a board director (or an alternate director) or on the investment committee of the Macquarie infrastructure roads, airports, utilities, media, retirement and private equity funds, as well as the international Singaporean, Korean, Canadian, US and European entities.
John has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.

Rodney Birrell

As a corporate attorney with Appleby Spurling & Kempe between 1988 and 1993, Rodney was involved in a number of high profile merger and acquisition transactions.
Since then, Rodney has been managing director and president of Bristol Limited and, since 2003, co-executive director of Anpero Capital Limited. Rodney is a director of Macquarie Capital Alliance International Limited, Paradigm Limited and C. Venture Limited in Bermuda; Quorum Secured Equity Trust in Canada; and Kew Trading in the British Virgin Islands.
Rodney is a member of the Canadian, Ontario and Quebec Bar Associations and is fluent in both English and French.

Kim Carter

Kim has extensive experience in business management. He owned and operated a manufacturing company, QRT Ltd, from 1977 to 1989, and in 1991 launched a publishing company, Carter & Carter Ltd, publisher of non-fiction books.
Kim is a certified hedge fund specialist (CHFS) and in 2004 became a director of Tribley Asset Management Ltd in Bermuda. Kim was chairman of Macquarie Capital Alliance International Limited (2005-2008) and was chairman of international squash tournaments: the Bermuda Open, the PSA Masters 2005 and 2006, and the World Open 2007. In 2006 Kim became a director of Rock Consulting & Marketing Ltd in the British Virgin Islands, a marketing and alternative investment consulting company. In 2008 Kim became a director of Triton Renewable Energy Limited in Bermuda, a company in the field of producing clean renewable energy.
Kim is also active in the not-for-profit sector and is chairman of the ‘Kathmandu Kids Club’, a division of The ISIS Foundation, a registered charity in Bermuda.

Thomas Davis

Tom is the majority owner, President and Chief Executive Officer of Meridian Fund Services Limited, a supplier of financial services to an international clientele. After qualifying as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse in 1975, Tom worked in various executive positions with the Bank of Bermuda Limited in Bermuda, Guernsey, Luxembourg and New York until 1993. Tom helped to form two Bermuda licensed trust companies; Mid-Ocean Trust Company Limited in 1994, and Winchester Global Trust Company Limited in 1995. Tom served as chief executive officer of Winchester and as senior vice president of Olympia Capital, a fund administration company affiliated with Winchester.
Tom has a long history of public service, most recently as Chairman of the Bermuda International Business Association and he has also been a Director of the Bermuda Tourism Board and a member of the Bermuda Broadcast Commissioners.
