MCG notes participation in bid for NTL Broadcast |

22 October 2004 In response to recent media speculation, Macquarie Communications Infrastructure Group (MCG) today stated that it is part of a consortium which has submitted a non-binding indicative offer to acquire the UK broadcast transmission infrastructure business, NTL Broadcast. MCG understands that it is one of a limited number of parties considering an investment. Final bids are expected to be lodged in late November 2004. MCG is not prepared to comment on any terms of its non-binding indicative offer. However, MCG notes that media reports have included speculation about the expected purchase price of around ₤1.2 billion. MCG also notes it continues to pursue other strategic investment opportunities, aiming to provide investors with stable long term cash yields and capital growth.
