Appointment of Directors to MCIBL Board

Macquarie Communications Infrastructure Group today announced the appointment of three new directors to the board of Macquarie Communications Infrastructure (Bermuda) Limited (MCIBL). MCIBL is one of the three stapled entities in the MCG structure and was stapled to MCIML and MCIL, and listed on the ASX, on 27 January 2005

As foreshadowed in the Product Disclosure Statement and Prospectus dated 7 December 2004, Audette Exel and Ede Conyers have resigned and have been replaced by Mr Rodney Birrell, Mr Tom Davis and Mr Kim Carter. Mr Gerry Moriarty will remain on the Board.

The Boards of MCIML and MCIL remain unchanged.

Mr Birrell will act as Chairman of the Company. Mr Birrell is a Bermuda resident and Managing Director and President of Bristol Limited. Bristol Limited is an asset holding and management company incorporated in Bermuda. Prior to this, Mr Birrell practiced as a corporate attorney from 1988 to 1993 with the Bermudan law firm, Appleby, Spurling & Kempe.

Mr. Carter is a Bermuda resident and since 1989 has been a successful private investor, concentrating on running his own investment portfolio. He is a Certified Hedge Fund Specialist (CHFS) and has been involved in a number of private equity and alternative investment vehicles, in addition to traditional asset class investments. In 2004 he became a Director of Tribley Asset Management Ltd, a Bermuda based company which manages a fund of hedge funds, the TAM Absolute Return Fund Ltd.

Mr. Davis is a Bermudan resident and Chairman of the Meridian Group of companies. The Meridian Group’s main operating company, for which Mr. Davis serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer, is Meridian Fund Services Limited, a supplier of financial services (accounting, portfolio valuation, shareholder record keeping and general administration) to an international clientele of hedge funds and other investment vehicles. In addition to managing the Group’s core business, Mr. Davis advises on structuring products and services for Meridian’s clients. The Group’s main operations are in Hamilton, Bermuda. Mr Davis is also a qualified Chartered Accountant.
