Nature of the asset

25th April Bridge was the original crossing of Tagus River in Lisbon (it opened in 1966). Tolls apply to northbound traffic.

25th April Bridge and Vasco da Gama are the only crossings over the Tagus. The bridge provides a key north-south link into Lisbon.

Nature of the investment

Lusoponte was granted the concession to build a second crossing of the Tagus River. The concession required that Lusoponte operate the original crossing, the 25th April Bridge, and construct, operate and maintain a second crossing of the Tagus River, the Vasco da Gama Bridge, as well as conferring exclusive rights to all further road crossings of the Tagus River in the Greater Lisbon area. Lusoponte will hold the concession until 2030.

MIG holds 30.6% of the equity in Lusoponte.
