Traffic numbers for M5 Motorway to end of October 1998

Macquarie Infrastructure Investment Management Limited (MIIML), the Manager of the Infrastructure Trust of Australia Group (the ITA Group), today announced traffic numbers for the M5 Motorway to the end of January 1999. ITA owns 50% of the equity in Interlink Roads Pty Limited, the company which has the concession to operate the toll road until 2022. Average Daily Traffic (ADT) for the three months ending 31 January 1999 was 53,558. This represents growth of 10.3% over the corresponding period of 1998.

New daily record levels occurred during the quarter with 66,125 vehicles using the M5 on Friday 20 November 1998. MIIML will continue to release traffic numbers for the M5 Motorway on a quarterly basis.
