M5 Traffic Numbers to end of April 1999

Macquarie Infrastructure Investment Management Limited (MIIML), the Manager of the Infrastructure Trust of Australia Group (the ITA Group), today announced traffic numbers for the M5 Motorway to the end of April 1999. ITA owns 50% of the equity in Interlink Roads Pty Limited, the company which has the concession to operate the toll road until 2022. The M5, which opened in 1992, services the south western suburbs of Sydney.

Average Daily Traffic (ADT) for the three months ending 30 April 1999 was 56,001. This represents growth of 9.8% over the corresponding period of 1998.

New daily record levels occurred during the quarter with 66,890 vehicles using the M5 on Friday 1 April 1999.

MIIML will continue to release traffic numbers for the M5 Motorway on a quarterly basis.
