MIG Eastern Distributor and M5 Traffic October 2000

Macquarie Infrastructure Investment Management Limited (MIIML), the Manager of Macquarie Infrastructure Group (MIG), today announced details on traffic use for the Eastern Distributor and M5 toll roads in Sydney.

MIG currently owns 68.4% of the equity in the Airport Motorway Group, which holds a 48 year concession for the Eastern Distributor. It also owns 50% of Interlink Roads Pty Limited, which holds a concession for the M5 toll road that expires in 2022.

Average daily tolled traffic for the Eastern Distributor for October 2000 increased by 3.0% over September 2000. Average weekday traffic increased by 3.4% during the month while average traffic on weekends and public holidays increased by 4.7%.

Average south bound (non-toll paying) traffic during October was 44,870 a 7.5% increase over September 2000. Toll paying traffic represents 62.8% of south bound (non-toll paying) traffic.

Total toll revenue (net of GST) for Airport Motorway in October 2000 was $2.59 million, a 5.6% increase over September 2000.

Average daily tolled traffic on the M5 for October 2000 increased by 1.9% over September 2000, and 4.5% over October 1999.

Average weekday tolled traffic on the M5 for October 2000 increased by 3.2% over September 2000, and 3.2% over October 1999.

Average tolled traffic on weekends and public holidays on the M5 for October 2000 increased by 0.1% over September 2000, and increased by 5.1% over October 1999.

Total toll revenue (net of GST) for Interlink Roads in October 2000 was $5.2 million, a 5.4% increase over September 2000.
