MIG Eastern Distributor and M5 Traffic November 2000

Macquarie Infrastructure Investment Management Limited (MIIML), the Responsible Entity for Macquarie Infrastructure Group (MIG), today announced details on traffic use for the Eastern Distributor and M5 toll roads in Sydney.

MIG currently owns 68.4% of the equity in the Airport Motorway Group, which holds a 48 year concession for the Eastern Distributor. It also owns 50% of Interlink Roads Pty Limited, which holds a concession for the M5 toll road that expires in 2022.

Average daily tolled traffic for the Eastern Distributor for November 2000 increased by 6.2% over October 2000. Average weekday traffic increased by 4.8% during the month while average traffic on weekends and public holidays increased by 3.2%.

Average south bound (non-toll paying) traffic during November was 46,506 a 3.6% increase over October 2000. Toll paying traffic represents 64.3% of south bound (non-toll paying) traffic.

Average daily toll revenue (net of GST) for Airport Motorway in November 2000 was $88,488, a 6.1% increase over October 2000.

Average daily tolled traffic on the M5 for November 2000 increased by 2.5% over October 2000, and 1.1% over November 1999.

Average weekday tolled traffic on the M5 for November 2000 increased by 0.3% over October 2000, and 1.4% over October 1999.

Average tolled traffic on weekends and public holidays on the M5 for November 2000 increased by 4.5% over October 2000, and increased by 0.1% over November 1999.

Average daily toll revenue (net of GST) for Interlink Roads in November 2000 was $171,034, a 2.7% increase over October 2000.
