Macquarie Infrastructure Group Eastern Distributor (M1), M4 and M5 Traffic, February 2002 |

05 March 2002 Macquarie Infrastructure Group (MIG), today announced details of traffic use for the Eastern Distributor (M1), M4 and M5 toll roads in Sydney. MIG currently owns 71.35% of the equity in the Airport Motorway Group, which holds a concession for the Eastern Distributor (M1) ending in 2048. It owns 50.6% of Statewide Roads Limited, which holds a concession for the M4 toll road until 2010. It also owns 50% of Interlink Roads Pty Limited, which holds a concession for the M5 toll road that expires in 2022. Airport Motorway Group - M1
Average daily toll revenue (net of GST) for Airport Motorway in February 2002 was $118,308 - a 32.4% increase relative to February 2001. Average daily tolled traffic on the Eastern Distributor (M1) for February 2002 was 20.4% higher than February 2001 and 11.6% higher than January 2002. Average weekday traffic on the Eastern Distributor (M1) for February 2002 was 21.0% higher than February 2001. Average traffic on weekends and public holidays on the Eastern Distributor (M1) for February 2002 was 18.2% higher than February 2001. Non-cash transactions on the Eastern Distributor (M1) consisted of 31% of average daily traffic in February 2002 (January 2002: 27%).
Average daily toll revenue (net of GST) for Interlink Roads in February 2002 was $255,752 - a 55.3% increase relative to February 2001. Average daily traffic on the M5 for February 2002 was 29.8% higher than February 2001 and 9.5% higher than January 2002. Average weekday traffic on the M5 for February 2002 was 30.4% higher than February 2001. Average traffic on weekends and public holidays on the M5 for February 2002 was 28.2% higher than February 2001. Non-cash transactions on the M5 in February 2002 consisted of 61% of average daily traffic (January 2002: 56%).
Average daily toll revenue (net of GST) for Statewide Roads in February 2002 was $188,674 - a 2.1% increase relative to February 2001. Average daily traffic on the M4 for February 2002 was 2.1% higher than February 2001 and 11.3% higher than January 2002. Average weekday traffic on the M4 for February 2002 was 2.3% higher than February 2001. Average traffic on weekends and public holidays on the M4 for February 2002 was 1.6% higher than February 2001. Non-cash transactions on the M4 in February 2002 consisted of 45% of average daily traffic (January 2002: 44%).
