MIG 407ETR, M1, M4 and M5 Traffic, June 2002 |

03 July 2002 Macquarie Infrastructure Group (MIG), today announced details of traffic use for the 407ETR toll road in Toronto and the Eastern Distributor (M1), M4 and M5 toll roads in Sydney. Due to restrictions imposed by a number of legal agreements dealing with the 407ETR, only monthly statistics on average workday traffic can be released. More detailed statistics on the 407ETR are released quarterly. MIG currently owns:

The average number of workday trips on the 407ETR during June 2002 was 12.7% higher than June 2001 and 5.0% higher than May 2002. Airport Motorway Group - M1 Table 2: Average Daily Traffic - Eastern Distributor (M1)
Average daily toll revenue (net of GST) for Airport Motorway in June 2002 was $113,997 - a 30.4% increase relative to June 2001. Average daily tolled traffic on the Eastern Distributor (M1) for June 2002 was 18.7% higher than June 2001 and 4.8% lower than May 2002. Average weekday traffic on the Eastern Distributor (M1) for June 2002 was 18.4% higher than June 2001. Average traffic on weekends and public holidays on the Eastern Distributor (M1) for June 2002 was 19.4% higher than June 2001. Non-cash transactions on the Eastern Distributor (M1) consisted of 35% of average daily traffic in June 2002 (May 2002: 34%). Interlink Roads - M5 Table 3: Average Daily Traffic - M5
Average daily toll revenue (net of GST) for Interlink Roads in June 2002 was $262,195 - a 34.0% increase relative to June 2001. Note that the truck toll increased from $6.60 to $7.10 on 1 June 2002. Statewide Roads - M4 Table 4: Average Daily Traffic - M4
Average daily toll revenue (net of GST) for Statewide Roads in June 2002 was $187,277 - a 2.6% increase relative to June 2001. Note that the truck toll increased from $4.90 to $5.50 on 24 May 2002. Average daily traffic on the M4 for June 2002 was 1.4% higher than June 2001 and 5.4% lower than May 2002. Average weekday traffic on the M4 for June 2002 was 3.3% higher than June 2001. Average traffic on weekends and public holidays on the M4 for June 2002 was consistent with June 2001. Non-cash transactions on the M4 in June 2002 consisted of 45% of average daily traffic (May 2002: 46%).
