Macquarie Infrastructure Group 407ETR, M1, M4 and M5 Traffic February 2003 |

06 March 2003 Macquarie Infrastructure Group (MIG), today announced details of traffic use for the 407ETR toll road in Toronto and the Eastern Distributor (M1), M4 and M5 toll roads in Sydney. Due to restrictions imposed by a number of legal agreements dealing with the 407ETR, only monthly statistics on Average Workday Traffic and Total Vehicle Kilometres Travelled can be released. More detailed statistics on the 407ETR are released quarterly. MIG currently owns:

Total Vehicle Kilometres Travelled on the 407ETR during February 2003 was 0.6% lower than February 2002. The average number of workday trips on the 407ETR during February 2003 was 2.5% higher than February 2002. Airport Motorway Group - M1Table 2: Average Daily Traffic - Eastern Distributor (M1)
Average daily toll revenue (net of GST) for Airport Motorway in February 2003 was $129,800 – a 9.7% increase relative to February 2002. Average daily tolled traffic on the Eastern Distributor (M1) for February 2003 was 9.4% higher than February 2002. Average weekday traffic on the Eastern Distributor (M1) for February 2003 was 9.7% higher than February 2002. Average traffic on weekends and public holidays on the Eastern Distributor (M1) for February 2003 was 8.2% higher than February 2002. Non-cash transactions on the Eastern Distributor (M1) consisted of 40% of average daily traffic in February 2003 (January 2003: 37%). Interlink Roads - M5Table 3: Average Daily Traffic - M5
Average daily toll revenue (net of GST) for Interlink Roads in February 2003 was $290,251 - a 13.5% increase relative to February 2002. Average daily traffic on the M5 for February 2003 was 12.1% higher than February 2002. Average weekday traffic on the M5 for February 2003 was 13.1% higher than February 2002.? Average traffic on weekends and public holidays on the M5 for February 2003 was 8.9% higher than February 2002. Average daily toll revenue (net of GST) for Statewide Roads in February 2003 was $199,832 - a 5.9% increase relative to February 2002. Average daily traffic on the M4 for February 2003 was 4.4% higher than February 2002. Average weekday traffic on the M4 for February 2003 was 5.0% higher than February 2002. Average traffic on weekends and public holidays on the M4 for February 2003 was 2.6% higher than February 2002. Non-cash transactions on the M4 in February 2003 consisted of 51% of average daily traffic? (January 2003: 46%).
