Midland Expressway Limited Announces Changes to M6 Toll Rates

Midland Expressway Limited (MEL) today advised that toll rates for the M6 Toll would be adjusted in the following ways:

• Effective 6am 23 July 2004, a discount toll will apply for heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) using the M6 Toll of £5.11 + VAT day rate (£4.26 + VAT night rate). The discount period will apply to 31 December 2004.
• Effective 16 August 2004, the discounted toll will remain in place for cars exiting via intermediate junctions¹.
• Effective 16 August 2004, the tolls for cars and vans using the two main toll plazas will move to the standard rates.

The following table summarises the toll rates (inclusive of VAT) that will apply from Monday, 16 August 2004:

* Rate effective from 23 July 2004 to 31 December 2004.
Further reduced rates apply at Langley Mill across all classes.
