Brisbane North South Tunnel Bypass Update

Macquarie Infrastructure Group (MIG) advises that it will not be participating in the BrisConnections consortium bid for the right to develop, maintain and operate the  North South Bypass Tunnel (NSBT) project in Brisbane, Australia.

MIG is currently investigating a number of toll road investment opportunities across the OECD.  Having taken into consideration a number of factors external to the NSBT project, including  the timing of various opportunities, MIG has determined it will not proceed with a NSBT bid.

Macquarie Bank as a sponsor of the BrisConnections Consortium continues to be fully committed to submitting a final bid on December 7, 2005.
