Mark Dorney

Chief executive officer

Mark joined Macquarie Group Limited in March 2004, was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Macquarie Media Group (MMG) in September 2004 and assumed overall leadership of MMG in October 2007.

Mark is a director of Macquarie Southern Cross Media and American Consolidated Media. Mark was a Director of Taiwan Broadband Communications from its acquisition by MMG in May 2006 until its sale by MMG in June 2008.

Mark has 15 years of investment banking experience and was previously managing director of ABN AMRO Rothschild as well as a director of N.M.Rothschild & Sons (Australia) Limited. Prior to joining ABN AMRO Rothschild, Mark spent several years with Bankers Trust Investment Bank in corporate advisory and equity finance.

Mark played senior roles not only in the acquisition of DMG Regional Radio, the acquisition of Southern Cross Broadcasting and the acquisition and sale of Taiwan Broadband Communications whilst with Macquarie, but also in other key transactions in the telecommunications, media, entertainment and technology sector including Telstra I ($14.3 billion, global co-ordinator) and Telstra II ($16.0 billion, global co-ordinator) for ABN AMRO Rothschild.

Liam Buckley

Chief financial officer

Liam Buckley is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant in Australia with more than 15 years of financial management experience in the media, telecommunication and IT industries. Liam joined Macquarie Media Group in September 2005 immediately prior to its successful initial public offer in November. Liam was the acting CFO for Vodafone Australia in 2005 after holding several roles in finance and internal audit for that organisation in Australia and the Asia/Pacific Region. Prior to joining Vodafone, Liam had an extensive career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the assurance and advisory division focussing on technology, information, communications and entertainment clients in Australia and Malaysia.
