Stephen Girdis Chairman - Appointed 12 December 2008
Stephen is an executive director of Macquarie Capital Funds Limited and is Chairman, Real Estate, Macquarie Capital Funds. Stephen joined the group in 1987 and has more than 28 years experience in chartered accounting, real estate finance, funds management and investment banking. His previous roles have included Global Head of Macquarie’s former Real Estate Group until its recent integration across the broader Macquarie Group, and his current or former directorships include many of Macquarie's real estate funds and associated entities including MGPA, Macquarie Prime REIT and Macquarie Goodman. Stephen has a BCom from the University of New South Wales and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and Financial Services Institute of Australia.
George Bennett Independent director - Appointed 30 August 1999
As the former executive chairman of KPMG Peat Marwick in Australia and a member of the KPMG International Executive Committee, George brings strong corporate governance experience to the Board. He is a director of Macquarie Leisure Management Limited, manager of Macquarie Leisure Trust, Fantastic Holdings Limited and a number of private companies. George is chairman of Macquarie Office Trust’s audit committee and is a fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. His former directorships include Australian Pipeline Limited and Brazin Limited.
James Broadbent Independent director - Appointed 31 August 1999
James’ deep understanding and knowledge of real estate has been built over 40 years in the property investment and funds management industry, including a decade as managing director of MEPC Australia Limited, a major property investment and development company. He is a qualified real estate valuer, a fellow of the Australian Property Institute and an associate of the Real Estate Institute. His previous board experience includes directorships of the management companies of Austore Property Trust and Oakford Property Trust.
Roger Davis

A certified practising accountant, Roger brings over 25 years experience in banking and investment banking in Australia, the US and Japan to the Board. Currently he is a consulting director at Rothschild (Australia) Limited and a director of Aristocrat Leisure Limited, Trust Company Limited and TIO. He is also a director of Macquarie Leisure Operations Limited and is chairman of Centric Wealth Limited. Previously, he was a managing director at Citigroup where he worked for over 20 years and more recently was a group managing director at ANZ Banking Group. His previous board experience includes the chairmanship of Esanda along with directorships of ANZ (New Zealand) Limited, Magellan Financial Group Limited and Citicorp Securities Inc. in the United States. He has a BEc (Hons) from The University of Sydney and an MPhil from the University of Oxford.
Richard Sheppard

Richard has been deputy managing director of Macquarie Group Limited since 1996 and since 2007 has been managing director and chief executive officer of Macquarie Bank Limited. Richard is chairman of Macquarie CountryWide Management Limited, manager of Macquarie CountryWide Trust and chairman of Macquarie DDR Management Limited, manager of Macquarie DDR Trust. He is a director of the Australian Financial Markets Association, Cure Cancer Australia Foundation and the Bradman Foundation. He is also a member of the Australian Government’s Financial Sector Advisory Council. Richard has a BEc (1st Class Hons) from the University of Sydney.
Adrian Taylor
Alternate director Stephen Girdis - Appointed 12 December 2008

Adrian is an executive director of Macquarie Capital Funds Limited and chief executive officer of the Trust and alternate director for Stephen Girdis. Adrian sets the overall strategy and objectives for the Trust in conjunction with the Board and guides the portfolio management, capital transactions, marketing and trust management teams to execute the Trust’s strategy. Adrian has been instrumental to the growth of the Trust over the past 12 years, helping to increase Trust assets from $300 million to A$6.5 billion.
He has been extensively involved in structured debt, equity and hybrid capital raisings, and the vehicle’s overall financial management. Previously, as the Trust’s chief investment officer, he was responsible for acquisition and disposal assessment of $10 billion of commercial office properties per year. Adrian also has considerable joint venture experience in Australia and the US. Adrian is a certified practising accountant. He holds a BBus from Monash University and a Graduate Diploma from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and is involved in numerous property industry groups including the Property Council of Australia.
John Wright Company secretary
John Wright was appointed to the position of company secretary in September 1999. John brings extensive industry experience and operational funds management skills to the Board. He is an executive director of Macquarie Capital Funds Limited. John has over 30 years experience in chartered accounting, investment banking and funds management. He is a director for Macquarie Leisure Operations Limited, Macquarie Leisure Management Limited, manager of Macquarie Leisure Trust and an alternate director for the management companies of Macquarie Direct Property Trusts and Macquarie DDR Trust. John is a chartered accountant and has a BEc from The University of Sydney.
Natalie Allen Company secretary
Natalie Allen was appointed to the position of company secretary on 29 June 2009. With over 10 years legal experience in real estate and equity capital markets, Natalie brings extensive knowledge of listing rules, compliance, corporate governance and administration to the board. Natalie is company secretary for a number of entities within Macquarie’s Funds division, including the management company of Macquarie DDR Trust. Prior to joining Macquarie in 2006, Natalie spent a total of seven years at Freehills, Sydney and Shearman & Sterling (California, USA). Natalie is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW and a member of the State Bar of California. She holds a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales
