MQ is a full service alternative fund manager with a strong bias toward generating absolute returns from investments in the Asia-Pacific region.  Located in Sydney, Australia we have a client base including international fund of hedge funds, industry super funds and Australian retail investors.

MQ comprises a single manager hedge fund business; MQ Specialist Investment Management (previously known as Macquarie Newton Specialist Fund Management) and a fund of hedge fund advisory business; MQ Capital (previously known as Macquarie International Capital Advisers Pty Ltd).

MQ Specialist Investment Management is a leading manager of absolute return strategies in the Asia-Pacific region, offering a unique range of single and multi-strategy funds. Founded in October 2003, MQ Specialist Investment Management has over $800m funds under management.

MQ Capital

MQ Capital is a specialist manager of alternative investment portfolios, allocating to hedge fund strategies globally, with a particular emphasis on Asia. MQ Capital currently manages over $600m in its fund of hedge fund portfolios.
