Division: Metals & Agriculture Sales and Trading

My role is challenging and exceptionally varied, as I work across the entire operations of the division. This provides many opportunities for me to make significant contributions to the success of our business.
The job is demanding but the people in my division are good to work with, and I also enjoy dealing with our clients and with people from across the entire organisation, at all levels. I've been with Macquarie for 12 years now, and as my division has grown, I have had the opportunity to work closely with and travel to many other offices.
At Macquarie you have autonomy and are responsible for both your own destiny and the success of your business, as freedom provided within certain personal and professional boundaries. This means that Macquarie is generally able to support its people, while responding quickly to the needs of its clients.

Although Macquarie is a highly competitive environment, there is also a strong willingness to pass on knowledge and help others develop. In this way, Macquarie ensures that you are given the opportunity to show your potential and demonstrate your value.
After joining Macquarie in London, I was immediately relocated to Sydney. I was quickly moved from my initial role into a marketing and sales position, and spent four weeks in New York training under a highly experienced structuring team.
My role as an account executive in the Metals & Energy Capital division requires me to work with a diverse client-base across Australia and Asia. I particularly enjoy identifying potential financing and hedging opportunities, and marketing our services to prospective clients. I get a lot of satisfaction from seeing the companies we support grow their assets and their business.
