Macquarie Digital today launched a website which will give more Australians free access to information, expert analysis and reports on what is happening in the business and financial world.
The website is an extension of the service, which gives Australians in all metropolitan and regional centres access to content from the Macquarie Digital datacasting channel that airs on channel 47 in Sydney.
The Macquarie Digital website was established in response to consumer demand.
Macquarie Digital’s project manager, Jackie Gambrell, said the website was recognition of a growing demand from the public for more information about finance.
“With the rise of Self Managed Superannuation Funds particularly, we are seeing more people looking at their investment options,” Ms Gambrell said.
“People who aren’t financial experts need more information to help them make informed decisions.
“It is useful for people to have some background information on the financial options that are available to them before they speak to a financial adviser and that is where we see our website fitting in.
“The Macquarie Digital website also caters for advisers who want an overview of new products before they invest their time to read through the fine detail.
“Many institutional investors also want access to expert information and analysis on a regular basis.
The program is topical, and fresh content is filmed every day.”
