2011 Australian of the Year - Simon McKeon

It is my great pleasure to congratulate Simon McKeon on being named the 2011 Australian of the Year.

Simon is Executive Chairman of our Melbourne office and has been a senior Macquarie executive for 27 years. He is a leading Australian philanthropist who has made an extensive community contribution, both through strong volunteer leadership and financial support to a diverse range of organisations including World Vision, MS Research Australia, Business for Millennium Development, the Global Poverty Project and Red Dust Role Models.

Simon is also a distinguished business leader, widely respected as a mergers and acquisitions specialist and sought after as a senior advisor and board director.
