Overview

Life is a series of events to be navigated.

We are delighted to invite you to our next briefing session, where we will share with you the Macquarie Life Active journey and provide an update of our latest service enhancements, which will help you differentiate your advice offering.

More than four years ago, Macquarie Life commenced its journey, to provide products and high quality service to help advisers assist their clients to navigate through life.

Macquarie Life Active marks another milestone in our journey as the first of its kind in Australia, combining traditional Life, TPD and Trauma cover in a single policy, which provides for multiple claims and aligns benefits payable with the severity of the Health Event experienced. This innovation has been recognised by Canstar Cannex, receiving the 2011 Innovation Excellence Award.

  • From his home in South Africa, hear an exclusive endorsement of the Active product from Dr Marius Barnard, the founder of Critical Illness in South Africa in the early 1980’s.
  • Examine real life case studies that explain why Active offers a compelling alternative to traditional life policies, with Dr. Sally Phillips.
  • Hear first hand from a remarkable young Australian, around the world sailor Jessica Watson, who will skipper the youngest crew to ever compete in the Sydney to Hobart Yacht race, sailing out of Sydney Harbour on 26 December 2011.

It will be a valuable opportunity for you to network with the Macquarie Life team and your peers, as well as earning CPD points.

Places are strictly limited, so register now to reserve your seat - because you never know what’s around the corner.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Regards,

Agenda

Navigate through three Active sessions:

The Journey of Macquarie Life Active. How it all started.

Hear exclusively from Dr. Marius Barnard from his home in South Africa as he endorses the Macquarie Life Active product. Dr Barnard gives valuable insight into why critical illness was developed and how a new breed now exists. This new breed of critical illness calls for a new product which takes into account a greater breadth of cover, blends Trauma and TPD Insurance, allows for multiple claims and where payments should match the progression of the disease - with one premium and one product.

Navigate Macquarie Life Active. The proof is in the claims.

Dr. Sally Phillips will explore the value of Active by assessing several Active claims including comparisons to those that have been paid under current Trauma contracts. This session will highlight the differences between Active and traditional Trauma products. Case studies will be used to educate on the differences in payment and assessment.

Pushing the boundaries. The Active Life.

Jessica Watson will be sharing her inspirational story of sailing around the world at this year’s roadshow. Jessica and Macquarie Life share the same enthusiasm for challenging the status quo and a determination and passion for innovation.
“Macquarie Life is only four years old, but in that short time they have made a real impact on the Australian insurance market. The Macquarie Life team understands what it takes to fully embrace a challenge, and it’s great to have the support of such a young and fresh business as part of our team.” Jessica Watson

Jessica hopes to continue to inspire our youth, other adventurers and everyone with a dream in their heart. On 25 January 2011 she was awarded the prestigious Young Australian of the Year title.
