Inc update

The August Compare:Insurance (Inc) update includes the following product and pricing updates:

  • Pricing Update for CommInsure’s Protection product range, effective 21st August 2011
  • Pricing Update for Asteron’s Lifeguard product range, effective 15th August 2011
  • Pricing Update for Suncorp’s Lifeguard product range, effective 15th August 2011
  • New SPDS and Occupation Update for BT’s Protection Plans product range, effective 22nd August 2011
  • New SPDS and Occupation Update for Westpac’s Protection Plans product range, effective 22nd August 2011
  • New SPDS and Occupation Update for St George’s Protection Plans product range, effective 22nd August 2011

COIN’s monthly Inc update includes products and pricing, alongside enhancements when applicable.

Each month, new insurance products and pricing updates are sent by insurers to Rice Warner, which conducts a comprehensive assessment for every open product against approximately 400 features and sub-features. Some months there can be many changes from product providers, and some months, no changes at all.

 

The release date each month is determined by a number of factors, including the ‘effective from’ dates for each product – an update released in advance of the ‘effective from’ date would lead to data inaccuracies within Inc.

If you are using COIN Office 3.5 and above, and you run Live Update in your practice, you can set up Inc to update automatically. Once the Inc update has been released, Live Update will apply the new release the next time it runs. To benefit from automated updates, simply tick the Inc check box in Live Update. We recommend it is set up as a scheduled task that runs every night.
