Macquarie Global Infrastructure Trust II (MGIFT II) is an unlisted unit trust designed to give individual investors the opportunity to invest, alongside institutional investors, in global infrastructure. MGIFT II is managed by Macquarie Capital Funds, a leader in specialists funds including infrastructure.
MGIFT II has pooled the money of retail investors to acquire units in the underlying wholesale funds. The wholesale funds are specialist investment vehicles established for the acquisition of infrastructure assets by Macquarie Specialised Asset Management Limited (the Manager).

MGIFT II initially raised more than $57 million, in June 2004, contributing to a total $489 million in committed capital raised by the underlying wholesale fund, the Macquarie Global Infrastructure Fund II (GIF II).
