Macquarie Securities offers Exchange Traded and over-the-counter (OTC) option services to the institutional investment market. These equity options are derivatives over shares that can help manage risk more effectively, leverage investments or trade a stock's directional movements.

Currently there are Exchange Traded Options (ETOs) listed on over 30 Australian companies, with 'Flex' options listed over some of the more illiquid ASX stocks. ETOs are considered standard or vanilla equity derivatives, often used in combination to create a strategy that will provide exposure to a stock's expected movements.
