Endowment Warrants are a non recourse leveraged investment available over a selection of ASX-listed shares over a period of approximately ten years.

All but one series of Macquarie Endowment Warrants have now matured. The only remaining series of Endowment Warrants is PEWEMI.

Maturity information

Macquarie Portfolio Endowment Warrant series PEWEMI will mature on 1 June 2011. If you are a holder of the PEWEMI series you will have received a pre-expiry letter and you will receive a maturity reminder letter outlining your options at maturity approximately 4-6 weeks prior to this maturity date.

In order for Macquarie to send this notification letter to you, it is important that your contact details are up to date. If your details have changed recently, particularly your registered address, please contact Computershare Investor Services Limited on 1300 364 060 prior to maturity to update them. Alternatively you can update your details, in the Computershare Online Investor Centre.

Computershare is the Registrar for the Macquarie Portfolio Endowment Warrants and is responsible for providing Macquarie with the Register of Holders at Maturity. Macquarie relies on this information to contact you. If your personal details at Computershare are incorrect you are at risk of not receiving your entitlements.

What has happened to my Endowment Warrants?

All but one series of Macquarie Endowment Warrants have now matured. The only remaining series of Endowment Warrants is PEWEMI.

My Endowment Warrants are still current; what happens at maturity of my Endowment Warrants?

At maturity, a holder of a Macquarie Endowment Warrant may elect to acquire the underlying shares from Macquarie or to receive cash. The investor may acquire the underlying shares by making the Final Payment equal to the residual Outstanding Amount. Alternatively, the investor will receive a cash payment equal to the market value of the shares less the Final Payment and brokerage.

My Endowment Warrants have matured; how can I obtain a copy of the maturity confirmation letter that I was sent at maturity?

How do I calculate the Capital Gains/Losses on my Endowment Warrants?

Macquarie does not provide tax advice. Please refer to the PDS found in the Brochures and Forms Tab.

What correspondence will be sent during the life of an Endowment Warrant?

Annual statements are sent to holders of Endowment Warrants outlining the number of units held, the Outstanding Amount per unit and the changes to the Outstanding Amount for the previous year.  Annual Statements have been sent to holders of PEWEMI. If you have not yet received your statement, please request a copy of your statement by completing the Macquarie Securities Group request a document online form

Will I receive a tax statement?

Macquarie does not issue tax statements in relation to Endowment Warrants. Holders of Endowment Warrants do not receive dividend earnings, nor do they pay interest and therefore there is no need for any tax statement.
