As a part of our continued investment in our cash products and platform, and to provide clients with greater transparency regarding account activity, clients will receive a real-time notification when you or an authorised third party processes a transaction on their CMA or Cash Management Accelerator Account.
What you need to know
- We’ll be introducing notifications on the CMA in a phased approach, from January 2020
- Clients with the Macquarie Mobile Banking app (mBanking) will receive a push notification to their device with the transaction details
- Clients who haven’t downloaded the app will receive an SMS
- Clients can opt out of notifications by changing their notification preferences via mBanking or via Macquarie Online The manual withdrawal process won’t be included in these notifications and the current process will remain
Phased approach
Clients will begin to receive transaction notifications initiated by third parties in January 2020. This includes bulk transacting and Adviser Initiated Payments (AIP). Notifications for additional transaction groupings such as those initiated by clients will also be introduced.
Familiar experience
Clients who have other personal banking products with Macquarie would already receive notifications from mBanking. The experience of receiving notifications will be familiar for them, so if they decide they no longer want CMA transaction notifications, they can opt out of these notifications via the app settings.
Opting out
If clients don’t want to be notified of adviser/ third party initiated transactions, they can opt out of receiving these by following the steps below:
- Logging into mBanking (can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play)
- Click the ‘My profile’ icon (this appears on the bottom right of the screen in mobile devices)
- Click ‘Settings’
- Click the ‘Notification types enabled’ option
- Toggle off the ‘Third Party Payments’ transaction type
If a client hasn’t downloaded mBanking, they’ll receive an SMS notification. We suggest encouraging clients who don’t want to receive the SMS, to download the app. Clients can manage their notifications via the settings as outlined above.
If your client can’t use mBanking, they can use the Client Portal to opt out by following the steps below:
- Log in to Client Portal
- Click on ‘My profile’ within the client’s name in the top right of the screen
- Click on ‘Notifications’
- Toggle off the ‘Third Party Payments’ transaction type
