How do I activate my Macquarie Debit Mastercard?

To activate your card in Macquarie Online Banking:

1. Hover over your account in the account list
2. Select I want to
3. Select Activate card in the menu drop-down
4. Enter the last 8 digits of your debit card
5. Select Next
6. Enter the SMS safe code that has been sent to your mobile. (If you have registered Macquarie Authenticator, you will be asked to verify from that device.)

Alternatively, you can:

1. Select the account from the account list
2. Select I want to in the banner near your account product name (or account nickname)
3. Select Activate card in the menu drop-down
4. Enter the last 8 digits of your debit card
5. Select Next
6. Enter the SMS safe code that has been sent to your mobile. (If you have registered Macquarie Authenticator, you will be asked to verify from that device.)

To activate your card in the Macquarie Mobile Banking app:

1. Select the account from the account list
2. Select the I want to button
3. Select Activate card in the menu
4. Enter the last 8 digits of your debit card
5. Enter the SMS secure code sent to your mobile
6. Select Activate.

You’ll receive a confirmation message if the activation was successful. If it wasn’t successful, repeat the steps. If you’ve had three unsuccessful attempts, call us for assistance on 133 174 (+61 2 8245 4470), 24/7.

As soon as your card is activated, you can start using it to make purchases.
