A loan to value ratio (LVR) measures the value of a car against the loan amount being financed. The ratio is calculated by dividing the loan amount financed by a car’s value.

The LVR is factored into the rate you’re quoted and is based on the following categories:
  1. <90% LVR – borrowing less than 90% of the value of the car
  2. 90 – 110% LVR – borrowing between 90 and 110% of the value of the car
  3. 110 – 130% LVR – borrowing between 110 and 130% of the value of the car
