What authority does a margin lender have on my client's account?

For margin lender accounts, the margin lender is the signatory and the client has enquiry authority only, so all account requests that are signed by the client must also be signed by the margin lender.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • periodic payments from the Cash Management Account (CMA), Cash Account or Wrap Cash Account
  • direct debits
