In Macquarie Business Online, you can search for transactions:
- in one account, or
- across multiple accounts.
Find transactions in Macquarie Business Online
Search in one account
- Log in to Macquarie Business Online
- On the menu navigate to Accounts and click All accounts
- Select the account you want to search
- Click Add filter and enter the details you want to filter on.
- Click Add filter again to include multiple filters.
Transactions will appear on the screen in reverse chronological order.
Search across multiple accounts
Go to the search bar from any page on Macquarie Business Online and you’ll see two options in the dropdown menu:
| Accounts | This is how you can find an account in your account list. You will only be able to search for accounts when on the account list dashboard. |

| Transactions | This is how you can search all of your transactions. |
Ways you can search
In Macquarie Business Online, you can search based on:
| Keyword search | Enter the keyword(s) you wish to search. This will pull all available results with an exact or partial match. |

| Accounts | You can search across a maximum of 100 accounts at once (including any closed accounts). You must select at least one account. |
| Date | Transaction search will default to search across the last seven days. You can change this to any date range you wish to search on. |
| Amount | You can search on just a From amount or a To amount or use both to search on an amount range. If you choose to search on an amount range, then the To amount must be greater than or equal to the amount From amount. |
| Cashflow | You can search by credits or debits. |
| Status | You can search for cleared, uncleared and dishonoured transactions. The status of uncleared and dishonoured transactions will display in the transaction description. |
| Categories | You can search for transactions by their categories. You can select up to 5 categories at once. |
| Tags | You can search for transactions by their tags. You can select up to 20 tags at once. |
Tips to improve your search
Some important things to note, so you get the most out of the search capability:
- Once you’ve selected the fields you wish to search by, your results will be sorted from newest to oldest date order. You can change to sort from oldest to newest.
- If you want to include a closed account in your search, you’ll need to tick the box that says, “Include closed accounts” and select the closed accounts you wish to include.
- You can only search across closed accounts if you had access to view the account at the time it was closed.
- You can search the entire transaction history of your account.
- You can print your search results or export them as a CSV file. The print or export icons for these actions are located at the top of your search results, on the right-hand side of your screen. If your search returns a large number of results, please be aware of the following limitations for exporting and printing:
- Export to CSV: If your search results in more than 30,000 transactions, the option to export to a CSV file will be disabled to ensure optimal system performance.
- Print: If your search results in more than 10,000 transactions, the option to print directly from your browser will be disabled due to browser limitations.
- We recommend refining your search criteria to reduce the number of results returned.
Print a payment or task receipt
To view and print a payment receipt:
- Log in to Macquarie Business Online
- In the menu, select Task Centre
- Select the History page
- Use the filters to find the payment or task you want
- Select the payment
- Click Print Receipt.
Find transactions in the Macquarie Mobile Banking App
- From the front page of the app, tap on the account that facilitated the transaction/s you want to search for.
- Tap the magnifying glass in the top right corner.
- You can then search based on:
- Keyword search – Enter the keyword(s) you wish to search. This will pull all available results with an exact or partial match.
- Date Range – You can change this to any date range you wish to search on.
- Amount – You can search on just a From amount or a To amount or use both to search on an amount range. If you choose to search on an amount range, then the To amount must be greater than or equal to the amount From amount.
- Type – You can search by incoming or outgoing payments.
- Categories – You can search for transactions by their categories. You can select up to 5 categories at once.
- Tags – You can search for transactions by their tags. You can select up to 20 tags at once.
- Once you have applied your filters you can tap Show results to return any applicable transactions.
Transactions will appear on the screen in reverse chronological order.
Currently, you cannot search for transactions under multiple accounts within the Macquarie Mobile Banking app.
