How do I manage my data sharing preferences with Xero?

You can view and manage your current arrangements to share consumer data in the Macquarie Mobile Banking app and Macquarie Online Banking.

In the Macquarie Mobile Banking app:

  1. Select the menu icon 
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Connected third-party providers.

In Macquarie Online Banking:

  1. In the side menu, select the settings icon on the bottom left-hand corner
  2. Select Security settings
  3. Select Manage under Connected third-party providers.

If you want to stop sharing your data with Xero, you can do this by selecting stop sharing for each current arrangement.

You can also disable sharing for an account within a data sharing arrangement for accounts held by multiple individuals or for company, trust or partnership accounts by selecting disable. Alternatively, you can disconnect this access in Xero.

How do I manually import my Business Savings Account transactions into my accounting software?

To manually import your transactions into an accounting software, you’ll need to generate a transaction report in Macquarie Online Banking.  

  1. Select Accounts from the side menu; or first select the menu icon in top left-hand corner to display the side menu 
  2. Select the account you want to download the transaction history for 
  3. Scroll through the transactions list until all the required transactions are displayed on screen 
  4. Select the ‘Download’ icon on the top right and select the required file format (note: only the transactions that are visible on screen will be downloaded - to see more transactions in the download, scroll down on your browser to display more transactions, then click Download). 

You can then manually import your transaction report into your accounting software.

Import instructions will vary depending on the type of accounting software you’re using. If you’re having trouble uploading your report, you’ll need to contact your accounting software provider for support.
