When can I re-use my customer’s NextGenID reports?

To create a smooth experience for you and your customer, you can re-use your customer’s previously completed NextGenID report when:

  • submitting multiple applications at the same time e.g. linked applications
  • cloning and resubmitting applications, and
  • submitting future applications for your customer.

How do I know if the NextGenID is still valid?

You can have confidence that the report is still valid, as it will only be available to use:

  • if NextGenID has been completed on a prior application with Macquarie as the lender in the last 9 months,
  • by you, the same broker from the same office,
  • if using the same full legal name and mobile phone number, and
  • if the ID documents are still valid (Australian passports are still acceptable up to 2 years post expiry).

If any of the above requirements are not met, you won’t have the option to select the previous report on ApplyOnline.

How do I re-use a NextGenID in ApplyOnline?

To link a NextGenID report to another application:

  1. Send an initial NextGenID request to your customer
  2. Once the status has been updated to ‘Completed’, you’ll be able to start linking the NextGenID report to other applications
  3. In the subsequent applications, on the Applicant tab go to the Financial Passport
  4. On the NextGenID tile, select Get Started. A pop-up will appear.
  5. Select each applicant, and if a previous NextGenID report is available, you’ll have the option to select Use existing NextGenID
  6. Once selected, click Request NextGenID.
     

Can NextGenID be re-used across different applicant types?

A NextGenID report can be linked across multiple applications regardless of the applicant type or role of your customer. For example, if an applicant has previously completed NextGenID as a director of a company, when they submit a future application as an individual borrower, if all requirements are met, you’ll have the option to link the previous report.

When is a NextGenID report ready to be linked to another application?

Once the initial NextGenID report has been completed and attached to the application's supporting documents, you’ll be able to link NextGenID to subsequent applications. The application doesn’t need to be submitted for the NextGenID report to be available for linking to other applications.
