Who can share my business data?

To use Macquarie Connect, your business needs to let us know which individuals are authorised to share data with your software providers.

We recommend that at least two individuals from your business are appointed with data sharing permissions.

Authorised individuals must:

  • be an existing user of Macquarie Business Online and Macquarie Authenticator
  • have existing View access to all accounts/facilities you wish to share data for.

See how to authorise individuals to share data.

Note: If you don't currently use Macquarie Authenticator, you can set this up by following the steps here. If you need to register your mobile phone number, you'll need to call us on 1800 620 673 (+61 2 8550 5603 if calling from overseas).

Software provider requirements

Your business management software may require users to have a certain level of access, such as administrative rights, to enable data sharing.

Please check with your software provider to confirm you’re nominating individuals with the correct levels of access on the Data Sharing Permissions form.

How do I authorise individuals to share business data?

To appoint data sharing permissions:

  1. Complete the Data Sharing Permissions Form where you'll need to:
    • specify which entities you'd like to share data for
    • nominate at least two key people in your business to share your data (see eligibility criteria)
    • Check you've provided all critical information required.
  2. and the completed form to business@macquarie.com.

To start using Macquarie Connect, you’ll need to initiate data sharing in your business management software.

How do I remove data sharing permissions?

We apply data sharing permissions to an individual’s Macquarie ID and the linked facility and account access.

If you need to remove data sharing permissions from a user, simply email the Macquarie ID and request to business@macquarie.com.

It’s important to note that if an individual has an active data sharing consent in place with your business management software, data will stop being shared when the data sharing permission is removed.
