How do I complete online ID verification?

To complete your requests, we may ask you to complete an online ID verification check.

This is easy to follow, and you'll be guided through with step-by-step instructions.

Make sure you have your original identity document ready and a device with a camera, as you'll need to take a photo of the document and then a photo of yourself.

Tips for a successful ID verification check

Your ID document
  • Make sure you have an original document, not a photocopy or screen shot
  • Check all the details you’re submitting are correct and exactly match your ID document
  • If you have special characters in your name, check your details in the review details screen and edit if they’re not exactly as shown on your ID.
Photographing your ID
  • Enable camera access on your mobile or in your web browser settings (e.g. Safari, Chrome, Firefox)
  • Hold the ID as still as possible and make sure all details (including any photo in the ID) are fully visible
  • Avoid capturing glare and reflections in your photos.
Photographing yourself
  • Don’t wear anything obstructing your face - including sunglasses and hats
  • Don’t have anyone else in the background.
