For a self-managed super fund (SMSF), your ABN must be listed and validated on the Superfund lookup service. If it's not, you won't be able to continue the application.
What to do: Ensure your SMSF is correctly listed on the Superfund lookup and try again. For more details, please refer to this article on the ATO website which provides more details on Super Fund Lookup status.
Your SMSF must have a status of either ‘Registered’ or ‘Complying’ with the ATO to be eligible for a CMA.
What to do: Check the ABN you’ve entered. If your SMSF doesn’t have a ‘Registered’ or ‘Complying’ status, you won’t be able to continue the application.
For eligible entity types that can open a CMA, please refer to this Help Centre Article.
If you receive a message that your entity type isn’t supported, it means the trust type associated with your ABN or the selection made in the drop down isn’t eligible to open a Cash Management Account.
What to do: As we no longer support these trust types, we can’t proceed with your application.

What to do: If you’re a new customer and have another application in progress, please complete that application first. If you’re an existing customer, please start a new application on the website by selecting “I’m an existing customer”.

What to do: The company structure must be updated with ASIC before you can continue the application.
We’ll utilise an AI deed reader to review your trust deed. The application requires you to upload your trust deed and other relevant documents. You will not be able to proceed without uploading the required files and will see an error.
What to do: Please upload all required documents to proceed.
Occasionally, a technical issue may result in errors with uploading your trust deed.
What to do: Please try re-uploading the file.
Occasionally, a technical issue may occur when you upload your documents or when our system reads them.
What to do: If there’s a failure in reading your trust deed, you’ll need to manually complete the required details for the application to progress.
If the information extracted from your trust deed shows a mismatch, is missing, or makes the trust ineligible, you won’t be able to continue the application.
What to do: The information extracted from your trust deed is extracted and presented to you to confirm all details are correct. If any details are required to be amended, these can be manually adjusted once the extracted information is presented to you.
