View your eGift card balances and expiry dates

In Macquarie Online Banking:

  1. Hover over Marketplace icon from the side menu; or first click on the  menu icon in top left-hand corner to display the side menu 
  2. Select My cards
  3. Select View eGift card

In the Macquarie Mobile Banking app:

  1. Select the $ icon on the front screen
  2. Select Marketplace
  3. Select My cards
  4. Select your eGift card
  5. Select View.

In your confirmation email from Macquarie Marketplace:

  1. Select the Your eGift card button to view your eGift card.

The expiry date of your eGift card will be displayed on the purchased card. Please keep track of this date as we’re unable to replace expired eGift cards.

Spend your eGift cards

You’ll find instructions on how to use your eGift card on the eGift card itself. To view it, click on:

  1. View eGift Card link on the Card Details section
  2. Select View option on the Card screen
  3. View Usage Instructions and Terms & Conditions.

If you’d like to send your purchased eGift card as a gift, simply view the eGift card via the email, copy the URL and send it to the recipient. Instructions for gifting your eGift cards are also on the confirmation email.

eGift card not working?

eGift cards can typically be used instantly after purchase. If your eGift card doesn’t work right away, it could be resolved by following the steps below.

  • If your eGift card isn’t working immediately after purchase, please wait 30 minutes and then try again.
  • If your eGift card is declined when trying to make a purchase, you may be exceeding the remaining balance. Enter the exact amount remaining on the eGift card at the checkout first, before paying the remainder via another means of payment. Typically, the balance of your eGift card can be viewed on the eGift card itself. To do this, simply open your eGift card and follow the instructions on the screen.

Can’t find your eGift card confirmation email?

We’re unable to resend the purchase email to you. To access your purchased eGift cards in your app or Macquarie Online, simply navigate to Marketplace and select My cards at the top of the screen.

Archive used eGift cards

If you want to see only active eGift cards in your My Cards menu, you can archive your used eGift cards.

In Macquarie Online Banking:

  1. Select the Marketplace/Rewards tile in your dashboard or
  2. Hover over menu icon in top left-hand corner
  3. Navigate to Marketplace, then My cards
  4. Choose the eGift card you’d like to archive
  5. Select archive on the right-hand side of the screen.

In the Macquarie Mobile Banking app:

  1. Tap on the red $ icon at the bottom right corner of the screen
  2. Select Marketplace option
  3. Select My Cards menu
  4. Swipe left on the eGift card you’d like to archive
  5. Select archive.

Navigate to Archive to view all your archived eGift cards.

What happens to eGift cards if you close your account?

If you close your account, you won’t be able to access your eGift cards on the Macquarie Mobile Banking app or Macquarie Online. Your purchased eGift cards will still be valid until the date of expiry and can be accessed through the link sent to you in the purchase email, so make sure to keep this email on file.
