Transactions are automatically categorised so that you can view your spending by category and by merchant.
To change the category of any transaction in Macquarie Online Banking:
- Select your account from the Account list
- Click on the relevant transaction to bring up the transaction details
- Amend the Category using the Category selection drop down list
- Click Apply if you want to apply the same category to all new transactions and then select Confirm to apply the changes.
You can also change the category on the Optional details screen while making a payment.
To change the category of any transaction in the Macquarie Mobile Banking app:
- Select an account from the Account list
- Click on the relevant transaction to bring up the transaction details
- Inside the Category feature, click on the pencil icon to edit the category
- Click Apply if you want to apply the same category to all new transactions and then select Confirm to apply the changes.
You can also change the category on the Enter details screen while making a payment.
