You may be required to edit and resubmit an application prior to our team assessing your application in the following scenarios:

  • changing product details (e.g. moving from Basic to Offset Home Loan)
  • changing home loan facility and account structure (e.g. adding an extra home loan account or changing to a fixed rate)
  • changing expenses (e.g. updating private school fees)

When do I need to edit or clone an application after formal approval?

Edits can’t be made in ApplyOnline after the application has been formally approved. Where loan documents have the incorrect applicant or security details, you’ll need to contact our team via chat in Broker Portal. Loan documents will be re-issued if any edits are made to:

  • applicant details (e.g. name, residential address, email, phone number)
  • security details (e.g. address or ownership structure).

You may be required to clone and resubmit an application post-formal approval when a change is made to data that will impact the credit assessment, for example:

  • changing product details
  • changing home loan facility and account structure
  • changing borrowing structure
  • application has expired and could not be extended.

Does edit and resubmit reset the expiry date of the application?

If you need to edit and resubmit an application, this won’t change the date the application was originally submitted. Therefore, it doesn’t extend the expiry date.

If a clone and resubmit is completed, this will restart all expiry time periods, starting from the date the cloned application was submitted.

If your customer provided the Home Loan Identification form, all documentation would need to be provided again.

Will cloning and resubmitting an application impact my customer's credit report?

A clone and resubmit will not prompt a new enquiry on your customer’s credit report. Once Macquarie checks a customer’s credit report for a home loan application, it will store the report for 90 days. A clone and resubmit will use the recently requested report.
