When did my variable interest rate last change?

If we make any changes to your variable car loan reference rate, we’ll update this page with the latest information within a reasonable timeframe.

The last change to car loan reference rates was made in May 2025.

What happens when my variable interest rate changes?

Your new rate will be displayed via Macquarie Online Banking and the Macquarie Mobile Banking app on the effective date of the change.

Your repayments will also be recalculated and we’ll automatically adjust your direct debit amount to cover your new repayment amount.

What is a reference rate?

A reference rate is the rate used to set variable car loan interest rates.  The reference rate for your car loan less any relevant discount, determines your variable interest rate which applies to your loan.

Where do I find my reference rate and discount?

The name of the reference rate applicable to your loan is specified in your Loan Offer.  You can find your reference rate and the applicable discount, which both may vary over time, in Macquarie Online Banking and the Macquarie Mobile Banking app.

How do I find out about changes to my reference rate?

When our reference rates are changing, we will publish the most recent rate on this page. The reference rates effective from 23rd May 2025 are set out in the table below.
