How to redeem credit card rewards points

Redeem points

Our rewards program is digital and offers a range of eGift cards for you to choose from.

You can also choose to redeem points for Cashback into an eligible Macquarie account.

The tables below outlines the number of Macquarie Rewards points required to redeem eGift cards or into cashback. For more information, please read the article on how to Buy an eGift card on Macquarie Marketplace.

Redeeming cash or eGift cards

You (as the primary cardholder) can redeem your points for cashback or eGift cards at any time via Macquarie Online Banking or the Macquarie Mobile Banking app.

To redeem using Macquarie Online Banking

Select the Marketplace icon from the side menu, or hover over the Marketplace icon to display a side menu, then select Marketplace store
If you'd like to redeem an eGift card:
- select the eGift card brand
- select the card value or enter the custom value you'd like to redeem
- select Use points
- select Purchase.
If you’d like to redeem a cashback:
- select Macquarie Rewards Cashback
- select the card value you’d like to redeem
- select the eligible account you’d like the cashback to be transferred to
- select Redeem.

To redeem using the Macquarie Mobile Banking app

Select your credit card account
Select the I want to button
Select the Redeem gift cards button
If you'd like to redeem an eGift card:
- select the eGift card brand
- select the card value or enter the custom value you'd like to redeem
- select Use points
- select Purchase.
If you’d like to redeem a cashback:
- select Macquarie Rewards Cashback
- select the card value you’d like to redeem
- select the eligible account you’d like the cashback to be transferred to
- select Redeem.

Cashback can take up to four business days to appear in your nominated Macquarie account. You can view your Cashback redemption history when you log on.

Please note that if your nominated Macquarie account is a Macquarie home loan, cashback is not treated as a payment to this account. You must still pay the full contractual amount required under your Macquarie account terms and conditions.

You may be prevented from redeeming points if you haven’t activated your credit card or you’re in breach of your account Conditions of Use, for example, if you haven’t made your minimum monthly repayments.

Redeeming points on a closed account

If your account is closed for any of the reasons set out in the Macquarie Rewards Program Terms and Conditions including switching your credit card loyalty program, your participation in the Macquarie Rewards Program will be automatically cancelled and you’ll forfeit all Macquarie Reward points you haven’t redeemed.
