What are the security level options in Broker Portal?

There are two security levels to consider in Broker Portal. Both require multi-factor authentication through our Macquarie Authenticator app, providing two different layers to verify your identity.

  1. Ultimate security level (recommended): the most secure setting, prompting authentication each time you or your support staff log in.
  2. Enhanced security level: enables you to trust commonly used devices and browsers, removing the need to authenticate for each log in.

How can I trust a browser in Broker Portal?

When you log in, a pop-up will appear asking if you’d like to trust the browser. If you choose to trust the browser, next time you log in you won’t need to verify through Macquarie Authenticator.

At any time, you can view and manage your trusted browsers. If you’ve chosen the enhanced security level, you’ll have the option to trust browsers that you regularly use.

You should always recognise the browsers connected to your Broker Portal log in. If you notice anything suspicious, contact us via live chat.

Note: some browsers can’t be added as a trusted browser if they aren’t compatible with the feature or if they’re in private mode.

How do I update my password on Broker Portal?

It is critical to always keep your password secure and ensure that no other user has access to your log in credentials. You’re able to update your password via Broker Portal and confirm the change with Macquarie Authenticator.
