How can I retrieve data from my customer’s Macquarie accounts?

Macquarie doesn’t endorse, promote or authorise the use of account aggregation services in connection with you or your customer’s Macquarie account(s) - this is reflected in our Macquarie banking terms and conditions and our Broker Code of Conduct.

If you’re attempting to use any third-party applications, you’ll experience issues with any screen scraper or aggregator applications which require you or your customer to log in with your Macquarie username and password i.e. Moneysoft, Raiz or Spendee.

Why doesn’t Macquarie support screen-scraping?

We understand that screen scraping is a solution that multiple software providers offer, however this involves the sharing of your confidential login credentials to that third party. With alarming rates of online fraud reported by the Australian Banking Association, it’s critical we act in the best interests of customers, including providing security protection tools that help Macquarie customers stay secure online and protect them from users who are not our customers from logging in.

How can my customer share their transaction data?

Another way your customer can share their data is to download their transactions from Macquarie then upload the data into the third-party application. This doesn’t involve sharing login credentials. Please check with the third-party application directly if they support this functionality. Get instructions for your customer on how to search and download their transactions into .CSV or .QIF format in Macquarie Online Banking or the Macquarie Mobile Banking app.
