Yes, you can transfer your PayID to another financial institution. This is a two-step process that’s initiated with us and then completed by you with the other financial institution. Until the transfer is completed, real time payments to your PayID will still be directed to the Macquarie account that it’s linked to. If the transfer request is not completed within 14 days, it will expire and your PayID will remain linked to your Macquarie account. You can request to transfer your PayID again at any time.

Steps to be completed with Macquarie:

Macquarie Mobile Banking app
  1. Go to Settings and select PayID
  2. Click on the options button, and select Transfer your PayID
  3. A confirmation page will be shown. Click on Transfer
  4. You will be asked to verify yourself
  5. Your PayID transfer request will be lodged and actioned. This change will generally be effective immediately unless we notify you otherwise. You will also receive an alert if you have enabled push notifications
  6. Once your PayID appears as “Transferring”, you will have 14 days to register the PayID with another financial institution.

Macquarie Online Banking
  1. Go to Profile and select PayID
  2. Click on the options button, and select Transfer your PayID
  3. A confirmation page will be shown. Click on Transfer
  4. You will be asked to verify yourself
  5. Your PayID transfer request will be lodged and actioned. This change will generally be effective immediately unless we notify you otherwise. You will also receive an alert if you have enabled push notifications
  6. Once your PayID appears as “Transferring”, you will have 14 days to register the PayID with another financial institution.

Once your PayID has been successfully registered at the other financial institution, payments to your PayID will no longer be received into your Macquarie account.
