We can only accept applications from the account applicant.

The Macquarie Transaction and Savings account can only be opened by the account applicant under either individual or joint names. Our application and processes have been established with the intent to support these entity types as they are digital products designed for clients to self-serve online.

To open (and keep open) an account, you must be over 14 years of age and have:

  • a permanent Australian residential address,
  • an Australian mobile phone number, and
  • a valid email address.


Applications won’t be accepted if made on behalf of someone else including if you hold a Power of Attorney (POA) or Enduring Power of Attorney (EPOA).
